DAN GOLDMAN, CANDIDATE FOR CONGRESS IN NY-10 AND LEAD COUNSEL FOR TRUMP’S FIRST IMPEACHMENT, ENDORSED BY JACOB RIIS HOUSES TENANT ASSOCIATION LEADERS

New York, NY - Dan Goldman, Candidate for Congress in NY-10 and Lead Counsel for Trump’s first impeachment, was today endorsed by Jacob Riis Houses Tenant Association President Daphne Williams and Vice-President Mary Cannon. After Goldman’s extensive engagement with the thousands of NYCHA residents across the district and demonstrated commitment to delivering results, President Williams and Vice-President Cannon endorsed Goldman as the candidate with the experience and skill-set to make good on his promise to fight for them in Congress.

“Dan Goldman is impeccably qualified for the job at hand,” TA President Daphne Williams and Vice-President Mary Cannon said. “We trust that he has the experience and the skill-set needed to make good on his promise to be a voice and deliver for NYCHA residents in the Jacob Riis Houses and across the district.”

“It is an incredible honor to have the support of President Williams and Vice-President Cannon, who are powerful advocates for the concerns of the community they represent.” Dan Goldman said. “In Congress, I will do everything in my power to serve as a voice for NYCHA residents in the district and to deliver much needed funding for the New Yorkers who are too often forgotten or ignored.”

TA President Daphne Williams has lived in NYCHA housing for the past 65 years, and served as Vice-President for 8 years before becoming President. President Williams is an active member of her community, volunteering for a host of organizations and NYCHA events. Over the years she has seen drastic changes on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and is fighting to ensure her community has a voice as the neighborhood continues to grow.

TA Vice-President Mary Cannon has lived in the Jacob Riis Houses for the past 20 years, has served on the board since January 2022, and lives with her daughter. Vice-President Cannon is an active member of the NYCHA community and regularly volunteers and helps with the coordination at the local food pantry.
